The Urban Justice Center is offering an exciting new opportunity, the Social Justice Accelerator, for people who have an idea for a social justice initiative/ organization that they'd like help getting off the ground.

For years, the UJC has nurtured independent thinkers tackling the intractable social justice problems of our day (see  With the Social Justice Accelerator, UJC wants to formalize this role as an incubator, and to share its resources and expertise with new projects that could greatly benefit from them.

The Urban Justice Center will select five early-stage social justice projects and provide critical back-office support to help them become fully-functioning, independent organizations.  Participants will be given space in UJC’s downtown office, as well as support, supplies, and access to opportunities for collaboration with UJC’s other awardees and anchor projects. In addition, projects will benefit from expert guidance of mentors, consultants, instructors and colleagues.

If you would like more information, please attend our information session on November 14th at 6:00pm at 40 Rector Street.
